THE BIG 35!

Well there it is. I am not 35 years old. I don't know why this seems old, but it does. We are going through some changes in my family so this year my husband was not with me. It felt, well lonely. I had my boys with me but this Friday was like any other Friday. Pick-up, drop-off, basketball, dinner- the usually. The only highlight of the day was that it was freezing cold. I love the cold weather. Maybe because I was born during a snow storm. SO was my dad- "the storm of 51!"

As far as my new health plan, I am doing pretty good. I didn't work out today. I was due. I had a voice lesson instead and a fun, yet therapeutic, lunch with my friend Sara. Oh, and I did bake myself the most decadent chocolate cake for my birthday. I had a modest slice. Yummy!

I have done Weight Watchers online before, and there is nothing wrong with it. I totally think that it works. I have lost lots of weight there. BUT, I am just tired of it. I don't know why, but I am. SO, the Spark People is really no different, except for the fact that I am now dealing with calories. I have never done that before. I like it so far. I will give a weight loss update on Tuesday.

Till then.....

Preface to My Comeback Year- Part 1

Now it is not my birthday yet. Friday seems like years away now, but I write this post to say that I have begun my comeback year 5 days early. This blog will really be more of a diary for me. I have joined a site called www.sparkpeople.com in hopes that it will help me get my eating undercontrol. And really until I started looking at calories, I never really knew how bad I ate. I will try to examine why I have succeeded or failed on a particular day. Bad or good choices. You know!
I will try to take accountability.

Yesterday was my first day to work out in a long time. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and did a series of arms. I also did 5 minutes of abs. My abs are a little sore, but all in all I plan to go back tomorrow. I am on a M W F type of workout plan, per SparkPeople advice. I ate a Roly Poly that was 598 calories. Then we went to Katy's and I semi blew t. There, I just tried to make good choices.

Today, I packed my lunch. I NEVER do that. Peanut Butter sandwich on reduced calorie bread with sliced cucumbers and sliced apples. Then I had bunco, and well...

Not every post will be a food log. I promise.

Until tomorrow...
